Project Overview

In partnership with Ritual Films, we captured the live reveal of Volvo Trucks’ all-new VNR at a trade show booth designed for impact. With a leadership team presentation, a kabuki drop, and limited space to work with, this project required technical precision and a light footprint—executed flawlessly in front of a live audience.

Production Design

The space was tight. We were operating inside an active trade show booth, which meant no staging area, no crew overflow, and no room for bulky equipment. Every decision had to account for visibility, sightlines, and safety.

We worked closely with the Ritual team and Volvo to design a setup that respected the booth layout while still delivering multi-angle coverage worthy of a headline product launch.

Camera Setup

The event was covered with a four-camera system:

  • One camera was rigged on a robotic slider to give us repeatable, polished motion with a small footprint.

  • Another was mounted on a Ronin for smooth, agile movement during transitions and reveals.

  • Two locked-off cameras on sticks handled safe coverage of the stage and crowd.

This hybrid approach gave us cinematic variety without interrupting the live experience.

Livestream Execution

We captured the entire reveal for both in-booth presentation and remote viewing. This included syncing camera feeds, capturing the kabuki drop with precision timing, and cleanly covering executive remarks and on-stage movement in real time.

Despite the high stakes and limited space, the final stream came out polished, professional, and tightly controlled.

Outcome

The Volvo VNR reveal was a complex live event delivered with precision and care. By keeping our footprint light and our setup flexible, we helped Ritual and Volvo present a seamless product launch—one that matched the innovation and clarity of the truck itself.
